Renowned Bangla music icon Asif Akbar shared the happy news of his younger son’s marriage on Facebook on Tuesday (December 23).

He posted a family photograph featuring himself, his wife Begum Salma Asif, their son Shafayat Asif Rudra, and daughter-in-law Lamia Tanzim Shreyoshi. In the caption, Asif confirmed that Rudra has tied the knot with Shreyoshi, daughter of Badal Shahriar.

Wishing the newlyweds a happy and peaceful married life, Asif Akbar expressed his heartfelt prayers for the couple. He also requested fans and well-wishers to keep his son and daughter-in-law in their prayers as they embark on a new journey together.

Asif mentioned that his elder son, Shafkat Asif Ranar, currently works in the cyber security division of a bank in Toronto, Canada. Due to work commitments, he was unable to attend the wedding ceremony. Similarly, elder daughter-in-law Ismat Shehrin Ishita could not attend as she was busy with examinations in Toronto.

Expressing how much the family missed their presence, Asif concluded his post by sending love to everyone, wishing good health and happiness. The post has since been flooded with congratulatory messages for the newly married couple.
