Mustafizur Rahman has found himself at the centre of intense discussion off the field. His exclusion from IPL franchise Kolkata Knight Riders following BCCI intervention sparked debate and strained cricketing relations between India and Bangladesh. Yet, none of it seems to have affected the left-arm pacer on the field.

In the ongoing Bangladesh Premier League, Mustafizur has been in fiery form for Rangpur Riders, consistently troubling batters with his accuracy and variations. Even off the field, he appears calm and composed, recently sharing a serene moment with nature on social media.

Losing an IPL contract worth INR 9.2 crore could have mentally shaken many cricketers. But Mustafizur responded in the opposite way. Rangpur Riders director Shahnian Tanim praised his professionalism, saying the pacer showed nerves of steel and an admirable ability to handle life’s ups and downs.

So far in the BPL, Mustafizur has taken nine wickets in five matches at an impressive economy rate of 6.94. His performances have played a key role in Rangpur Riders winning four of their five matches and sitting at the top of the points table.

While Rangpur Riders are leading the table, the management remains cautious. Their focus is on progressing step by step—first securing a top-four spot, then aiming for the top two, and finally the title. And in this journey, Mustafizur Rahman remains their biggest trump card.
